Thanks for the advice. Perhaps that's why I've only had unrequited love affairs?

Dangnabit, you have a knack for making me cry with your entries. Thanks for sharing that, though. It's a beautiful story all the way around. Please do tell me what you think of the CS Lewis book when you've read it. It's not very long but it's a rough read emotionally so be forwarned. Take care. -J

Sorry your blind date didn't go well. I had this mental image with you looking a bit like the deer in the headlights while this blithering idiot babbled on about her misfortunes. I can't help it, I was giggling at your description of the whole fiasco... I know you're probably too much of a gentleman but you could have always pulled out Rhett Butler's "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn..." Which probably would have shut up the litany of woes. Better luck next time and tell the "pal" who set you up that he's a moron. (grin) Later, babe! -J

Hey!
I'm so sorry about Eugene, I can't fathom telling my child that! Especially why you are still married...
GOOD LUCK on your date, and your phone call!!!

Thanks buddy. I'm going to miss the hell out of you too. You know we've been friends for 62% of our lives? You know, people often come and go, into the picture and back out again, but it's nice to know that there are some friends that are just going to be there forever, no matter what. I'm glad you're one of those people. You're one of the good ones, my friend. Sometime I'll come for a surprise visit, and you'll wake up to find your house toilet papered, just like old times.

Stop worrying about it. Everyone who knows you realizes that you love and miss your wife and Hope. You don't have to wear sackcloth and ashes for the rest of your life to validate your grief to anyone. Come to think of it, you don't need to defend your actions, thoughts or feelings to anyone. I, for one, am happy for you. It sounds like you're beginning to work through your mourning rather than letting it rule your life. Good on ya, babe. -J
