Dude, forget about the girl with the soft hands. You should go for the neighbor! She's there, and ready and willing! Who cares about commitment! What the girl with the soft hands doesn't know, won't hurt her! Dude, you have to Carpe Diem on this one!

You can't respond or even react to gossip man, or it gets worse, like meddlin' with tar. I'd pray for safe distances and leave it at that.

What scares me the most about your annoying neighbor, other than the fact that she sounds like a complete imbocile (sp?, is the fact that she has reproduced. Yikes!

You know widower we had a neighbor like that however, it was her entire clan that used to show up at dinner time. It never failed. For *21* days straight they would show up to have dinner. You know how I got them to leave me alone? I started talking about how conservative we were,(We really are ditto heads, conservative, George Bush kind of folks - so sue me), They were very liberal, which is fine -- but they didn't tolerate anyone conservative. I also found out she had a fear of dolls, so I went to the junk store and bought tons of old dolls, ripped off their heads, and stuck just their heas all along my fence posts facing her home, and the last time she came for dinner, I allowed my two dogs to lick the plates, and I put the plates back up in the cupboard. They never rang my door bell, or rudely stuck their head over my fence to talk to me ever again. Yes yes, I know sounds mean and drastic, but this family was certifiably nuts -- so drastic times, call for drastic measures in my book:) And you know, sometimes it feels good being a little over the top:) Take care! Hi there, I stumbled upon your diary by chance and I want you to know that this is one of the few diaries that I actually read every single post. I feel your emotions and I'll keep good thoughts for you and that special girl with soft hands. Take care.

No, I missed Will's column, but I'm sure it was respectful. If you care to send me a link, I'll read it ... sorry the girl with the soft hands went back home, but it sure sounds that she invigorates your soul =)

Hi there: - You wrote:"And it’s so much easier to go through life with a best friend then to tackle it alone" You are right - it is always easier to go through life with a best friend, then to tackle it alone -- however, please don't discount being alone for being lonely. Sometimes, some of my best "stuff" (for lack of a better word) has been accomplished when I am alone. While I hate being lonely, I am my own best company sometimes:) You sound happy, and perhaps content -- and don't worry about making comparisons between the lady with the soft hands, and your wife -- it's natural, it's not bad --just "be" -- and everything will work out:)
My best - Trin
