Dear Widower. I have been reading your diary since the very beginning. I will miss your writing but of course I am happy for you. Best wishes, Littlest-Bee

Dear Widower,
I think a book is a wonderful idea. Thank you for writing this diary and for sharing it with me. It has helped me work through some of my own grief over their deaths. I love you.

Widower, I found your diary from Weetabix today, and I read every entry. You've made me really sit back and think about how I should handle both confrontations and joyfulness with my love. Every time I looked at him this afternoon, I thought of how special every minute is.

All I ask is, when you realize how addicted you are to the attention and the audience, and you start another diary to match your new perspective, you let us know where to find it. Peace.

I'm sorry, it wasn't simply you leaving that upset me, it was all those that have faded out and I miss and your announcement to cease writing just tipped the scales and out poured some things that weren't really nice. I didn't mean for it to look like it was all aimed at you, for you have made me think, made me realize my priorities in life, made me realize how precious each and every moment is with my family. I thank you for all that you have added to my life.

It's been good to read about what you've gone through, my friend. Reading this diary has been like getting a view into your life than I felt I had lost over the years when all we would talk about is politics. Good luck on your book and everything else you do. And to "Not Buying It," what exactly aren't you buying? Does the fact that some details are concealed or timelines are a little twisted make the story less true? I've known widower since we were in 5th grade together, long before his wife died, long before diaryland. The story is true with some of the details hidden for the sake of privacy. You're one of those people who watches movies not for entertainment, but to search for continuity errors, aren't you? Stop fussing about every detail in life and enjoy the big picture of things. You'll be much happier, and you'll have a hell of a lot more free time.
