It's taken me a few days, but I just finished reading your entire diary. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! I had a brother perform suicide 8 years ago(can't believe 8 years have passed!) so your story really brought back feelings of grief. I'm sorry about your wife and daugher. I use to diary at http://klcranford17.diaryland.com and wrote a story about my brother's death. It also has a twist, so I could understasnd your hesitance leading up to telling about your child's death too. Your entries were so inspiring. Although I am not a widower, I am in a new relationship of 5 months(after being divorced for 2 years) and feel the same love/attraction to this guy as you describe you and your wife have. From the beginning (and I know it's only been 5 months, it's still the beginning), but I KNEW this is the person I will spend eternity with. He feels the same. I'm so excited to see what our future holds. Congrat's to the both of you. I wish you all well. I look forward to reading more.

I totally get what you mean about the smoke. The media will always blow things out of proportion. I only noticed that the smoke was bad on Tuesday (I believe the day it happened) and Wednesday morning, but even then it only smelled like a chimney. Since then, I haven't smelled it even a bit.

Teehee. I thought the same thing when they were talking about the smoke this morning. I think I've inhaled more smoke at a single bonfire rally than I will in the time it takes them to get this thing put out.

The word you're looking for is "professionalism". Sounds like your coworkers need some. I think your last two entries go together; they're both about privacy and adults running their own lives without impinging on others. I do have more sympathy for your mom's position though: she's wrong and you're right, but it can be hard for mothers sometimes to see that their kids are grown up, need that privacy, and can run even the hard parts of their lives on their own. Still, that's no excuse for not respecting your current wife's feelings and position. I suspect you really will have to have that conversation where you tell her straight out what effect she's having. But be kind :-)

I am with you on that note -- too much information heard from your co-workers suck. I think what's worse is hearing about the medical problems. Who the hell wants to hear about somebody else's boil, or rhoids, or problems with any other orifice. I also really don't like to hear about other people's sex lives, the lenth of their tools, or the number of multiple orgasms they can have. Ick.

Like you haven't left us all hanging before! Anyway, the story hasn't resolved itself yet, so I've sort of been left hanging too. And I totally agree about private phone conversations--have some decency and keep them to yourself! I've overheard so many completely private conversations someone is having on a cell phone. It's embarrassing. Okay, well, ciao.
