Make sure you tell your wife to drink at least 96 ounces of water a day, to increase her protien in take and her calcium intake. I will be thinking of you:) You know if she had the baby on Mother's Day that would be great too, as it's my birthday:)

It may seem that the only times I have something to comment is when reading one of your entries on being a widower and loss. As you know both my husband and I have gone through losing our loved ones and everytime we talk we see that we got through it in very different ways. The topic of dating again is a difficult one, my ex-boyfriends family thought it was too soon for me to start dating after he died paying no atention to the fact that we hadnt been together for almost two years. We still loved eachother, but I didnt have to get used to the fact that I was alone, because that was all i had known for almost two years. My husband on the other hand waited over a year and his parents and in laws were very happy when he started dating me. I guess in your heart you know when the time is right, and you should know that if the love that existed between your deceased loved one and yourself was true and strong, they would be happy and smiling to see that you are happy again. I know you know this, but that would be some advice I would give the person who wrote to you!!! Hope all is well with you and Marathon Girl and the baby...

I think the comments link was screwy because I let my supergold membership expire. I'm all for supporting diaryland (and had paid memberships for 3 1/2 years) but $30 and $54 a year for some of the service I got in return wasn't worth it.

I just came across your diary and I read a few of the entries and I am wondering you said in an old entry you were not a parent yourself so you couldnt be judged on parenting, but you said you lost your wife and child, so I was wondering about that. I hope I dont come off rude but I am curious as to how your wife died and what you mean when you said you lost your child???

Thanks :) I just ran across this joke. It reminded me of your other diary, but since i'm already here...here you go: While visiting his niece, an elderly man had a stroke. The woman drove wildly to get him to the emergency room. After what seemed like a very long wait, the E.R. doctor appeared wearing his scrubs and a long face. Sadly, he said, "I'm afraid that your uncle's brain is dead, but his heart is still beating." "Oh, dear, we've never had a liberal in the family before."

Oddly enough, I agree with you about who was responsible for the Columbine tragedy.

The Crimson Petal and the White by Michael Faber. It's a fabulous 18th (maybe 19th?) century epic.

With your background you've probably read this book - but I just read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand - interesting reading...for fiction. :)

Hey, it's kris-tee... I hate the dreaming thing. I always dream something will be wrong with him. I hate that. If she's in labor and asks for ice-chips, make someone else go get them! hehe!
