Ah, I'm glad to hear that your company did that for you! I love reading about you and your family :) God Bless Jacquie

Great news! It's always a scary thing to change companies. I've been there, and done that. Glad to hear they wanted to keep you around.

“Now you know how we feel when you cry in the middle of night!” -- I hear ya there. Sometimes I intentionally wake my cat up in the middle of the day after he decides he wants to play at an ungodly 4 a.m.

Your wife has my ideal job. I would have cried if she actually decided to leave completely. (Okay. Maybe not.) :-) I'd love to talk to her sometime about how she got into the field, though.

Not to make light of a tragic situation, but with all the Hacking case stuff they are bringing in, they probably need all the staff they can get. Good luck to your wife in keeping everything balanced without getting overwhelmed. And I'd hold off on Southern Utah for another couple of months! ;-)

It could be considered cruel and unusual punishment to tease your readers about what's going on and then post...until next time. No Fair! **stomps feet**

I think it is great you can share your thoughts and experiences like this. I lost my wife of 15 years in November after a very long debilitating illness. I can relate to not wanting anything to do with dating. I just wanted to be alone and to wallow in my grief. A family friend (single) kept coming by for my girls and I found myself with feelings for her. We started dating in January and I fell madly in love with her (so much for waiting 2 years to date). My daughters are crazy about her too. We are getting married in October. I had my own private grief journey but I am nearly to the other side of it. I miss my first wife, but I know she wanted me to go on. So life goes on. Not as I planned or envisioned it, but it is still good. Starting over at 38!

I have some snot who once wrote to tell me that I misspelled something. She also said that I should be embarrassed that I was an English major and didn't know that. Whatever. [eye roll] Just because we got our degrees how-many-years-ago and work as tech writers doesn't mean that we're the grammar experts. Sheesh, people! :)
